Another Hello from Mr Pugh
Date: 20th Jan 2021 @ 2:50pm
Hi Everyone!
I can’t believe that it is already two weeks since we had to move to remote learning to try and protect us all from the coronavirus. I have been very impressed with the hard work you have all been doing at home (and for some of you - in school) to keep up with your learning. I have been teaching in Class 4 on a Tuesday and Friday and have been very impressed with the White Rose Maths videos and the Oak Academy activities that are being set. If you keep following the work set by your teachers, you will keep making lots of progress this term.
Remember:
- You are only in competition with yourself. It doesn’t matter if your friend is doing every activity and posting everything they do – concentrate on what you can do and if your work is taking a bit longer at home then that’s ok.
- You can only do the best that you can do.
- There is never any need for you to struggle or become frustrated because you can ask for help. Let an adult know or contact school so we can help you. All of the teachers have an email address so if you are stuck, confused or overwhelmed let them know.
Mr McGurk has been doing some Zoom meetings with his class this week – saying hello and letting them all know what he expects from their work. It has been nice to see each other (and see a variety of bedrooms, sitting rooms and kitchens). Next week Mrs Gavriluk is going to have a go at doing the same. Look out on your home learning pages for the links.
This Friday, we will be awarding Home Learning Stars of the Week for those of you who do most or all of your work remotely and Bubble Stars of the Week for the children who are in school more often. If you are a Home Star, your parents will get an email with a certificate for you. I will also put the names of all of the winners on the Newsletter.
Below is this week’s PE challenge from Mr Harris.
Have a great week everyone and let us know if you want or need something to make things easier.
